Four postdoctoral positions are available at the SIB Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics and at Biozentrum of the University of Basel within an interdisciplinary Sinergia project funded by the SNF, which aims at understanding the molecular basis underlying the cellular c-di-GMP signaling network in bacteria (for a recent review see: Schirmer and Jenal, Nature Reviews Microbiology 7(2009)724 ). Structural, dynamic, and functional aspects of c-di-GMP signaling components are investigated embedded within an interactive environment of research teams in computational,structural, and cellular biology. The conformational dynamics of these components in solution will be addressed by single molecule FRET experiments to understand their function and regulation.
