Dr. Tawbi’s laboratory studies the epigenetic regulation of DNA repair and mechanisms of post transcriptional regulation of genes associated with chemotherapy resistance. The successful applicant will be expected to have both the ability and motivation to be a major contributor to the lab’s research program. The project will involve the use of the following techniques: cell culture, RT-PCR, RNA expression, proteomics, immunohistochemistry and siRNA. These studies are primarily conducted in cell culture systems, in vivo, as well as tumor tissue, and require techniques in molecular biology and biochemistry. Candidates must hold a Ph.D in Cell Biology, or Molecular Biology. Experience with procedures on tissue culture and molecular biology methodologies are highly desirable.
