The life science and chemical analysis markets account for approximately 40 percent and 60 percent (respectively) of LSCA’s $1.3 billion business. Agilent is applying the profitability of its long-standing chemical analysis business to invest in developing new products for two high-growth markets in life sciences: genomics and proteomics. Each is projected to grow at double-digit rates annually. The worldwide life sciences and chemical analytical instrumentation market is approximately $20 billion, growing 5 to 10 percent annually.

Agilent in Chemical Analysis
As the leading global provider of chemical analysis tools, Agilent offers solutions for a number of critical markets, including: environmental, food safety, forensic analysis, nanotechnology and hydrocarbon processing. We also support homeland security with instruments and expertise in biochemical detection, as well as offering solutions for drug testing, fuel cell manufacturing and semiconductor QA/QC.
