As Technical Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous improvement of both product quality and standards on site. This role combines both quality control/assurance and food safety with your key responsibilities involving the management of food safety issues, including EHO issues and deal with customer enquiries. Other responsibilities will include dealing with regular technical and hygiene audits with the implementation of Quality Management systems. You will implement and maintain BRC systems, developing solutions to operational procedures and enhancing performance. Managing a small team this role demands initiative, authority and influence whilst maintaining an innovative approach to the manufacturing process to ensure continuous process improvements are made. Communication is a key part of this role to ensure that internal and external stakeholders are given the up most quality in customer and technical service.
The successful individual will ideally be degree or equivalent qualified within Food Science/Technology together with extensive working knowledge of BRC, HACCP and GMP accreditation, ideally holding experience in a beverage, food or ingredients based manufacturing environment. Possessing excellent interpersonal and strong decision making skills you will be an influential yet personable leader who can demonstrate the ability to see the bigger picture and vision to focus on real long term goals for this dynamic organisation.
