Staff Scientist in the Microarray Core Laboratory

The Moffitt Cancer Center has a position open for a Staff Scientist in the Microarray Core Laboratory. The Microarray Staff Scientist assumes responsibility for the planning, implementation, and final analysis of research projects initiated with the Microarray Core Laboratory and the Research Faculty of MCC related to the microarray based genomic analysis of cancer. Duties include data analysis and management, technical processing and service development, the development of new analysis techniques, and interfacing with the Medical Informatics and Information Technology groups at MCC to develop programs that facilitate pre-processing of microarray data, analysis, and the development of pipelines to augment existing techniques.

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated experience with genomic analysis as evidenced by publications related to SNP arrays, copy number variation, comparative genomic hybridization, or other genomic techniques.
