You’re not likely to find a simulation project where minimising the margin of error is more important than it is here. As part of the Ministry of Defence, we’re responsible for providing the aircraft that give the UK forces and Government a winning edge. We analyse capabilities using our own man-in-the-loop simulators, against high expectations and tight deadlines. Working in a close-knit team of scientists, engineers and interacting with military personnel, you’ll develop and deliver simulation trials using Fortran and C, analyse your findings and provide actionable intelligence for our procurement process.

The 3,500 people who work for Dstl are among the nation’s most talented and creative thinkers. You’ll have solid experience of programming, possibly with a gaming or simulation background, or have just completed a PhD. This is the only place in the country where you can have a job like this – and see your thinking get some of the world’s most impressive aircraft projects off the ground.

Closing date: 21st November 2009.
