The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute is a world leader in genomic research, with an expanding scientific programme dedicated to understanding gene function in health & disease.
We are seeking to recruit a competent and knowledgeable researcher with previous laboratory management experience to support the team on the study of the genetics of deafness using the mouse as a model system. The work of the team is wide-ranging, including various molecular genetic approaches, microscopy and electron microscopy techniques, ES cell work to generate new lines of mutant mouse, electrophysiology, expression studies, and colony management.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to research using one or more of these approaches in addition to managing the laboratory.

BSc or other evidence of a good background knowledge in biological sciences (E)

Previous significant molecular biology experience (E)
