We currently have a vacancy for an Analytical Scientist within our Research and Development department at Whiston, Staffordshire. If suitable, the appointment will be at senior level.

(Senior) Analytical Scientist

Key requirements:

• To calibrate and provide operational support of analytical instrumentation.
• Development of analytical methods.
• A good understanding of statistics relevant to an analytical environment.
• To provide professional expertise and support to our internal & external customers.
• To co-ordinate the standardisation of equipment and measurements across the Company.
• To perform research within the overall RDI programme

Ideally you will have practical experience of XRF and ICP maintenance and calibration. A demonstrable knowledge of a wide range of analytical equipment will be required.
It is essential that you have a strong ability to adapt and learn quickly especially in developing analytical methods.

The successful candidate will have a degree in a relevant science or equivalent along with good numerical and computer skills along with the ability to work safely, adhering to company working practices.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
