As a member of the Safety Assessment Pathology department, the successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and leading the scientific application of digital pathology within Development Sciences including network capabilities, image archiving strategy development, image analysis (eg. Definiens, MetaMorph) and the development of high throughput assays for investigative applications. In addition, the individual will be committed to continuous process evaluation and improvement as novel technologies and applications emerge. This position will include the innovative application of immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence histochemistry, and image analysis in the solution of development questions.
Requirements:
Demonstrated expertise in and evidence of creative application of light microscopy, digital pathology, image analysis techniques, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence application and assay development, molecular pathology and ELISA. Ability to develop strong cross-functional relationships and to work well on cross-functional teams. Experience in the preparation of reports and presentation of data both internally and at national meetings. A minimum of 5 years experience in a related industry position. Education: PhD in a relevant field.
