We are seeking a dynamic individual to be part of the NIBR Education Office. Our mission is to catalyze a collaborative culture of learning and training that fosters scientific innovation and interdisciplinary research at NIBR.
The primary responsibility for the candidate will be to work with NIBR researchers and clinicians to address the scientific education needs of the NIBR Translational Sciences (TS) group. TS is a global organization responsible for early drug candidate development through to full development and includes the following departments: DMPK, Preclinical Safety, Biomarker Development, and Translational Medicine as well as a Global Office of support functions. The candidate will evaluate and design TS educational programs and promoting interactions across functional areas. In addition, s/he will support the expansion of the NIBR Postdoctoral Program to TS, wherein responsibilities will include hiring new fellows and supporting their training.
The candidate must demonstrate strong strategic and scientific evaluation skills and be able to work effectively with experts in a variety of fields and technologies to build relationships across a range of cultural and professional backgrounds. The position requires excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and the diplomatic skills to interact with senior leaders in the organization. The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and contribute as an effective team member.
The candidate will be based in Cambridge, MA, USA or Basel, Switzerland and will report to the Head of the NIBR Education Office.
