NAEJA Pharmaceutical Inc., is a fast growing pharmaceutical R & D company, located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada focusing on pre-clinical contract research.
Currently we are seeking a highly motivated and creative Research Scientist-Synthetic Organic Chemist to become part of a team performing drug discovery, and optimization of lead molecules. Candidates require a M. Sc. or Ph. D. in organic chemistry with at least 5 years pharmaceutical industrial laboratory experience. Handling of large scale multi-step synthesis, isolation and purification of water soluble compounds is a highly desired skill. Experience in β-Lactam chemistry is an added advantage. The candidate’s major responsibility will be to design new processes.
Candidates must have strong verbal and written communications skills and be able to work independently with minimal supervision in a multidisciplinary environment.
