We are recruiting an R&D Development Scientist / Engineer with considerable experience in nanomaterials and or semiconductor process development covering the topics below:
• tSubstrate based CVD/PECVD carbon nanotube growth
• tCatalyst formation and interactions with solids and gases
• tPlasma CVD deposition systems used in silicon processing
• tOptical, IR and UV energy delivery systems and interactions with nano scale materials
• tPVD Sputter deposition of thin films and catalysts
• tNano particle deposition and growth
• tPlasma reactors and characterization
• tVacuum deposition
• tEquipment used to characterize the above materials: E-SEM, AFM etc...
The ideal candidate should also be able to demonstrate the following:
• tExcellent report writing with good verbal communication skills on technical subjects
• tWell motivated and able to work to tight deadlines
• tAble to formulate and use DOEs to understand, confirm and improve results
• tCapable of working on own initiative or as part of a small research team
• tConfident user of vacuum PECVD and PVD equipment used in their research
Education: Masters or PhD in one of the following areas: materials science (carbon materials and/or nano particles), Semiconductor BEOL process development, chemistry or physics.
Experience: Must have experience in an industrial or commercial research environment
