The candidate will lead a research team dedicated to the development of epithelial tissue assays to identify novel therapeutics. The group will model specific processes in epithelial regeneration and wound healing, including epithelial stem cell function. The lab will collaborate with technology
groups within the Developmental and Molecular Pathways (DMP)department to identify novel chemical and biologic modulators of these processes and validate the therapeutic potential of these
discoveries in collaboration with disease area scientists throughout the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research(NIBR).
