This internship is seeking an agriculture major student that is interested in research with an emphasis on production agriculture. There is exposure to all aspects of sales and customers with this internship. Duties/Responsibilities Field plot research - pre planting preparation, planting, plot maintenance, data collection, plant sampling,and herbicide application.
Contribute to overall product development and testing programs at York Research Center.
May be assigned specific data collection duties with Research Associate supervision.
Will involve travel to off-station trial locations. Educational Qualifications Desired Minimum of Sophomore standing in agriculture or related field, e.g. Agronomy, Plant Science, Biological Science, Seed Science or Environmental Studies. Competencies and Experience Desired High degree of self-motivation, self-initiative and ability to work well with others. Good communication and interpersonal skills and computer aptitude are essential. Farm background desirable but not required.
