Applications are invited for the above fixed term post (up to three years) working on a cross-disciplinary project that combines optical engineering and cancer studies based at the Department of Engineering Science, Parks Road, Oxford.
The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant physics or engineering discipline together with experience of the practical implementation of optical systems. The ability to communicate scientific ideas and work independently and as part of a team are essential. Experience in any of the following is desirable: design and implementation of optical microscope systems, software development for control of experimental systems and theoretical modelling of image systems.
