Pediatric Clinical Geneticist

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, seeks a Pediatric Clinical Geneticist to join our Division of Genetics.

In addition to participation in the Department of Pediatrics’ clinical, teaching and research missions, the candidate will be expected to pursue scholarly activities in at least one of the following areas: clinical genetics, education, clinical trials/clinical research, or basic research. The Division of Genetics currently includes two M.D. geneticists, a Ph.D. cytogeneticist, one genetic counselor, three laboratory technologists and two support staff members. Candidates must have an MD/DO degree, be BC/BE in Clinical Genetics, and be qualified for appointment at open rank. Strong Spanish and English speaking skills are desirable. The Department of Pediatrics is home to growing clinical programs, with new facilities both on and off the main campus under development. Leadership qualities and a valid Texas medical license are desirable.
