Leading medical communications agency has a superb opportunity for a Medical Writing Manager/Team Leader, with medical writing experience and line management skills, to lead a team of 4 to 5 medical writers in the production of high-quality strategic communications programmes and materials.

The role:
You will be taking overall responsibility for the quality of communication programmes and written materials produced by the medical writing team and provide direction and support for the team.
Manage day-to-day workflow ensuring efficient, cost-effective and timely delivery of project work.
Provide high-level scientific and strategic direction to support existing projects and new business activities.
Provide therapy area advice/consultancy in area of expertise both internally and externally.
Actively contribute to client/opinion leader meetings; develop and maintain strong relationships with clients/opinion leaders and contribute to new business proposals including presenting pitches.
Skills and experience:
Several years experience as a Medical Writer in a medical communications agency with extensive experience of a wide range of medical communications materials
Excellent project/time management and organizational skills
Line management experience of medical writers
Creativity and ability to think strategically
Commercial awareness
Education to at least degree level in medicine, pharmacy or life sciences
The agency offers an excellent salary ranging £46-60k (depending on experience and with the upper end of the salary range needing to have significant experience in managing writing teams) plus benefits.
