This company are one of the most established companies within the pharmaceuticals sector. They are looking for a head of Health Economics to drive their health economics division forward on their path of further growth and development. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced health economist with management experience to be at the forefront of a world class research led Pharmaceutical organisation. The Head of Health Economics will be responsible for managing the health economics team and ensuring that adequate direction and support is given to the team so that national reimbursement submissions are produced to the highest standards. The Head of Health Economics will also be supporting specific cost effectiveness and value arguments for key stakeholders and other influential people in the process. Having responsibility for the entire department it is important for the Head of Health economics to be able to motivate others and identify development needs in individuals.
The Head of Health economics will need to have had experience as a health economist or a pricing/reimbursement specialist who has had some line management experience. Established relationships with UK HE/HTA networks are an essential requirement for someone joining in this position as is a detailed understanding of Health Economics within the NHS. The Head of health economics will need to be degree qualified and will also need to have preferably pursued a postgraduate qualification related to health economics.
