Field Application Scientist QPCR

You will be providing high-level technical support/training to our English speaking customers in DACH area (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), our sales force and European distributors on our qPCR-/Software Solution-/Strategic product portfolio, with an emphasis on qPCR and bioinformatics. As a member of the European FAS team, you will be visiting customers doing pre-/post-sale activities, User Group Meetings for our Mx installed base, participate to road shows giving scientific presentations, participate to Symposia/Tradeshows/Workshops, establish external collaborations, prepare application notes/tech notes and work closely with marketing on new product development. This position will be field based and will require 40-60% travel.

The ideal candidate we are looking for has:

- A PhD or M.Sc. in Molecular Biology, Biology or Biotechnology, or Laboratory experience.

- Extensive practical QPCR experience, practical microarray experience is a plus and affinity with bioinformatics.

- Strong analytical skills and a very good knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques.

- A passion for sharing his/her scientific knowledge with customers and colleagues.

- A fluency English (other european languages,will be plus) and excellent communication- /presentation-skills.

- The flexibility to travel 40-60% of the time.

- An appreciation for working in an international environment.

- An excellent team spirit and the desire to work closely with our Sales team


Qualifications :

Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent, Ph D preferred
