My client is embarking on a new development which requires an exceptional candidate who has managed multi faceted projects in a biopharmaceutical setting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to influence at all levels and will have high visibility in the company.

Associate Director, Bioanalysis

Role
* Establish a full and thorough understanding of non-clinical and clinical bioanalytical requirements for assigned projects by developing close working relationships with staff in Biosciences, Clinical Research and other customers/stakeholders.
* Identify valid bioanalytical approaches to achieve project objectives, and define programs of work. Continuously evaluate potentially useful new technologies and methodologies
* Assess, select and manage appropriate bioanalysis vendors to deliver high quality assays and study data on time
* Proactively communicate progress on bioanalysis activities and data to line manager and other stakeholders

Requirements
* A first degree and preferably a higher degree in chemistry or related subject
* Proven experience in pharmaceutical research & development, working in the area of bioanalysis
* Ideally, 3 plus years experience of outsourcing bioanalytical contracts
*
* A sound working knowledge of quality assurance, GLP and regulatory guidelines/expectations for assay validation
* A background in drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics
* A sound knowledge of the pharmaceutical R&D process,
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
