Dynamic medical education and medical publishing agency based in London has a superb opportunity for a Deputy Editorial Director. The Deputy Editorial Director will oversee up to two editorial teams, provide editorial quality assurance and have line management responsibility for the Editorial Managers.
The role:
Review and sign-off materials produced by the editorial teams, ensuring overall quality, delivery of message and consistency across the teams, and provide final sign-off on materials in the Editorial Director’s absence
Monitor resource needs and allocate projects and accounts in liaison with the Editorial Director
Provide line management responsibility for the Editorial Manager for each team including mentorship and guidance regarding client management, account management and team management issues
Provide support to the Editorial Director regarding ensuring company and departmental policy and best-practice is maintained and identifying and addressing training and recruitment needs within the editorial teams
Facilitate organic growth of key accounts and new business initiatives
Skills and experience:
Excellent editorial skills and experience of a wide range of projects across the different media
Previous agency related project / account management experience for pharmaceutical clients
Strong prioritisation and delegation skills
Experience working in a number of therapeutic areas
Excellent team management skills
Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with clients and thought leaders
Experience of the strategic development and tactical implementation of pharmaceutical medical education and marketing initiatives
