The University of Utah, Department of Pathology is seeking a Clinical Cytogeneticist to serve as a Medical Director at ARUP Laboratories, an enterprise of the University of Utah. The successful candidate will have a faculty appointment in the Department of Pathology with rank based on academic experience. Through excellence in laboratory testing, service, education and research, ARUP’s mission is to continually improve patient care. ARUP Laboratories’ clients include more than half of the nation’s university teaching hospitals and children’s hospitals, major commercial laboratories, military and government facilities, and many community hospitals. The rapidly growing laboratory involves diagnostic testing in the full spectrum of cytogenetic services, including children and adults, cancer, prenatal, and molecular cytogenetic testing. The applicant should hold an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree, and be board certified/eligible in Cytogenetics by the American Board of Medical Genetics, and have experience in the direction and management of a cytogenetics laboratory.
