Clinical Studies Manager required by a global FMCG company to lead and manage the Clinical Studies team to ensure successful planning, execution, delivery and reporting of clinical studies.

Our client’s research and development is conducted through a number of multidisciplinary teams to provide new innovative technologies, and clinical studies are an essential part of the product evaluation process. The research is underpinned by sound experimental design, and statistical analysis and interpretation. The Clinical Studies Manager will bring specialist knowledge (e.g. Good Clinical Practice) and leadership to this assessment.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide expert advice and guidance to GR&D on clinical study design, management and standards.

• Lead, develop and motivate a team of study managers to ensure that they have the necessary knowledge and skills to meet the current and future needs of the business.

• Ensure the delivery of high quality clinical studies to agreed timelines and budget.

• Oversee the planning and execution of clinical studies and the production of reports & publications ensuring the use of appropriate tools and templates.

• Instruct and guide others on the writing of study protocols, and other study documentation, and review draft documents to meet GR&D project objectives.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
*Science degree, PhD or nursing qualification.
*Extensive knowledge of the clinical trials environment, including Phase I trials.
*Pharmaceutical and/or CRO experience preferred.
*Broad experience and proven knowledge of ICH GCP.
*Experience of writing and reviewing Protocols and other trial documentation.
*Experience of project managing clinical trials.
*Strong logistical and planning skills.
*Working knowledge of statistics, data analysis and data interpretation.
*Experience of managing clinical trials in Europe desirable
*Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
