ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, NON-TENURE EARNING


The Department of Pathology and Division of Molecular and Cellular Pathology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) are committed to expanding their active research program in osteoclast pathobiology. A position for an Associate Professor level (PhD, MD/PhD, or MD), non-tenure earning faculty member with experience in generating and analyzing transgenic mouse models of musculoskeletal disease is available. UAB currently has a broad-based comprehensive multidisciplinary research program focused on hard tissue biology and related translational science that includes related tendon and cartilage biology, biomedical engineering and orthopedics. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of productivity in research and existing potential for extramural funding. UAB, which ranks in the top 25 in NIH funding, is a dynamic, collaborative research institution with state of the art facilities, outstanding graduate programs, and a commitment to post-doctoral education.
