Associate Director Public Affairs and Health Economics.

A rare opportunity with a world leading biotech company.


As a member of the Public Affairs and Heath Economics Team, the Patient Organisation Liaison is responsible for leading the development of the strategy for building and maintaining relationships with key patient organizations, individuals and families with genetic diseases.


Responsibilities


*Work closely with the EMEA Brand Team to understand business plans and develop integrated strategies regarding in-line and launch products:
-Conduct market research to inform the patient communication strategy which will enhance patient satisfaction and improve access to information, support and services;
-Support execution of patient programs and communication strategy, including development of websites and online capabilities;
-Work with vendors, Corporate Communications, Legal/Regulatory, and Business Units to develop, obtain approval, and disseminate messages as appropriate;
-Lead our presence at key Patient Meetings
*Work cross functionally with the appropriate internal stakeholders, including Medical Affairs, to develop a strategy that coordinates our approach to sponsorships, charitable donations and free goods programs in the EMEA region. Report on these activities to internal stakeholders and develop appropriate communications for external audiences that summarize the extent and the benefits of these activities;
*Determine priorities and align the internal organization during the long range planning (LRP) process to ensure that the appropriate budgets can support Patient Organization communications, programs and tactics;
*Participate in cross functional access and reimbursement meetings to facilitate greater organizational understanding of Patient Organizations needs during the development of value presentations and dossiers.



Education & Experience Requirements

Minimum
*Degree-qualified in a scientific discipline (preferably life-sciences)
*A minimum of 5 years experience including both national and international patient organisiation
*Product launch experience - preferably on an international basis
*Fluent in English
Desirable
*Experience of working with complex therapies or rare diseases would be an advantage
*An MBA or business qualification.
*Work experience in an emerging BioPharmaceutical company i.e. where systems and roles are in constant evolution.
*Ideally, fluent in at least one other major European language
