My client is embarking on a new development which requires an exceptional candidate who has managed multi faceted projects in a biopharmaceutical setting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to influence at all levels and will have high visibility in the company.

Associate Director/Director, Exploratory Projects

Role
* Contribute to, and champion, new exploratory project proposals.
* Represent the Exploratory Projects group on cross-functional project teams
* Work with internal and external IP lawyers to develop and file new patents
* Design, implement and manage discovery screening activities on approved projects
* Identify high quality CROs, academic groups and external experts to advise and carry out programs of work; efficiently manage the outsourced programs
* Review, assimilate and interpret screening data, make Go/NoGo recommendations
* Effectively communicate project and pipeline information within and across disciplines

Requirements
* A first degree and PhD in biochemistry, pharmacology or related subject
* Proven experience in pharmaceutical research & development, working in the area of DMPK or pharmacology/biology
* Highly creative, highly motivated, clear-thinking, applied scientist
* Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical R&D process,
* Extensive knowledge of DMPK or pharmacology science
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
