Analytical Chemist - Pharmaceutical Chemistry - Permanent - £15-20K + Benefits - Cambridgeshire
Our client is one of Europe's leading independent laboratories, with an international reputation for high quality analysis, service and advice, operating within the food, water, dairy and pharmaceutical testing sectors with a turnover in excess of £25 million.
Currently an exiting opportunity is available for an Analyst to join the company's Pharmaceutical Chemistry Dept.
Examples of the comprehensive range of analyses undertaken within the Dept., include raw materials testing, import / QC release of finished products, storage stability trials, method development and validation and GMP Projects using instrumental and physical procedures.
Main Duties will include:
· Performing routine Chemistry tests.
· Testing in accordance with Pharmacopoeia Monographs - BP, PhEur, USP, JP.
· Testing to customer specific procedures.
· Conducting analysis for GMP Projects.
· Method development, as required.
To be considered for this opportunity you will ideally have a degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a related subject and practical experience in one or more of the following analytical techniques- HPLC, AAS, GC, IC, ISE.
You Should also Possess:
A keen eye for detail.
The ability to work as a member of a highly motivated team.
The ability to work to tight deadlines.
Good time management skills.
GMP knowledge preferable, although not essential
Ability to use own initiative.
Good communication skills and an ability to accurately follow methods to regulatory standards.
Previous laboratory experience preferred although not essential as full training will be provided.
You will be required to work a 40 hour week - Monday to Friday
