Qualifications: A minimum of a PhD or equivalent in a biological or relevant subject PLUS substantial industrial experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

This is a senior position, where the successful candidate will manage a small fermentation team to progress cutting-edge yeast-based recombinant protein production through R&D to production scale demonstration.

You will be responsible for the development of fermentation and primary recovery processes to produce several intracellular and secreted proteins.

With the assistance of several junior scientists, you will be required to use your scientific skill and experience in the Fermentation field to design and validate production processes. You will also be responsible for the control and maintenance of production strains.

Requirements:

• The candidate would ideally have technology transfer experience to pilot scale or larger with a knowledge of regulatory requirements for therapeutic protein production.

• Several years’ industrial experience in recombinant protein production including managing small project teams.

• Experience in yeast based expression systems is highly advantageous.

• Experience in chromatographic techniques (FPLC, GC & HPLC) is advantageous.
